The MOBOX is a reinforcement connection system in witch bent rods with a diameter of 6 up to 12 mm are fixed. This makes it easy to construct a continuous reinforcement at the place of the dilatation without having to drill through the shuttering!
The reinforcement connection system consists of a blank profiled steel plate in witch there are bent braces evenly spaced at a predetermined distance. A lid seals the full length of the box. The MOBOX is attached to the first phase shuttering.
In case of a wooden shuttering it is nailed, in case of a metal shuttering it is attached with magnets and in other cases it is jammed between the steel reinforcement.
After taking away the shuttering the lid is removed and the reinforcement that was under the lid can be bent outwards to form the connection between two phases of pouring.
- The profile has a dovetail shape : => Good mechanical anchorage between two pouring phases. (dovetail joint) =>Smaller spaces between elements => improvement of waterproofing.
- The anchorage edges that are present on the full length prevent coming loose of the profile.
- The box is profiled in such a way that it is able to absorb forces that occur in the joints. The surface of the MOBOX is covered with diamond shaped points.
Available models
Several
models are available depending on the use.
- Type S is mainly used in cases where one reinforcement netting is applied.
- Type D is used in constructions with double reinforcement netting. This system is also available with a box within turned bars to fix the place for precast walls
- In the case wider reinforcement is used or when a swellband or waterbarrier has to be fixed between reinforcements type DX is used
- For longer anchorage lengths type DS can be recommended in cases where double reinforcement netting is used.
- Other models can be produced on demand.
